BALLOON FEST COMMITTEE SETS MAKE-UP WEATHER DATES !!

The New Smyrna Beach Balloon Fest Committee is pleased to announce that this event has been re-scheduled to mid-May.

The inaugural Balloon Fest, which took place in January 2009, was a big success by any measure. More than 10,000 attended the Friday night balloon glow and an estimated 3,000 rose early Saturday morning to cheer as 14 beautiful hot air balloons filled the skies over New Smyrna Beach early on a beautiful Florida winter morning!

The January 2010 event was to be much bigger and better, but the weather that descended on us was of historic proportions (record-breaking cold, wind, ice pellets, and snow), and only very limited portions of the event could go on as planned. WE DON'T GIVE UP THAT EASY !!

At a meeting of the committee on January 15 (in short sleeves, outdoors!), we decided to move forward!
